A thoughtful assessment considers the person behind the symptoms. Being capable and finding things difficult can both be true.
Questionnaires can inform an assessment, but they are not the whole answer. Your history, circumstances and functioning matter.
Know who will assess you
Before booking, ask the team for the assessing clinician’s name and registration details, the scope of the service and the arrangements for follow-up.
You can independently check a doctor’s registration on the GMC medical register.
